Over the years SMG Motoring has performed a number of upgrades (5 speed transmission, Moser 12 bolt rear) to this car but the car retained its original 400 cu in Buick engine. Even with the upgrades the owner looked for increased performance and reliability. With this in mind the decision was made to swap the Buick engine for a GM LS based engine.
The owner of this Challenger has been slowly making upgrades to the car over time. SMG Motoring previously installed Wilwood brakes on the car and now the owner was looking to increase the car’s performance with the addition of a proven, reliable power adder. The obvious choice was a ProCharger supercharger.
The owner was also looking to improve the car’s handling and stance over the stock Challenger RT’s suspension. Working with SMG Motoring the decision was made to upgrade the stock coil springs.
